For sale is an early 1960 black paint Nikon F with extremely rare Jacobson Powercon (pre 'Remopak'), Strapateer and the following lenses:
- Nikkor-H 28mm f3.5, EP Marked, Feet only scale, L37 filter, hood and Nippon Kogaku rear cap.
- Nikkor-S 35mm f2.8, Nikko-H 28mm f3.5, feet only scale, Nikon L37c filter, hood and Nippon Kogaku rear cap.
- Nikkor-S 50mm f2, feet only scale, Nion L1a warming filter and hood.
- Nikkor-H 85mm f1.8, feet only scale, L37c filter, hood and Nippon Kogaku rear cap.
- Nikkor-Q 135mm f3.5, feet only scale, hood and Nippon Kogaku rear cap.
- Nikkor-Q 200m f4, Feet only scale with Nippon Kogaku front and rear caps.
The Nikon F is completely original with nice early features:
- Type A focussing screen.
- Hollow film advance lever.
- 'Nippon Kogaku Japan' engraved inside the original black paint plain prism.
- Diagonal serrations on the delayed action.
- Patent markings and dates on the interior of the original film back, also included.
The battery pack attached to the Nikon F is a Jacobson Powercon. Powercons were made in the heart of Hollywood on the fabled Vine Street by famous photographic inventor Irving Jacobson. Five years before Nikon brought out a cordless Nikon F battery pack in 1968, the Jacobson Powercon was the only cordless pack available to Nikon F photogs. Several years later the Remopak was also produced under license from Jacobson. The $120 Powercon 35E was on the Jacobson Photographic Instruments price list, but was strictly a special order item built only as they were ordered. $120 1963 dollars add up to almost $1,275.50 in 2026. Note the early text font on the battery cover and the internal serial number of 135.
